Thousands of toddlers suffer from URTI

According to a data compiled from January to September, as many as 31,326 children under age five and 14,557 residents over age five in Central Kalimantan were suffering from upper respiratory tract infection (URTI) due to the ongoing haze crisis.
Meanwhile, land fire occurred next to the Indralaya Toll Road in Arisan Jaya village, North Indralaya district, Ogan Ilir, South Sumatra. Fire also occurred in Ogan Komering Ilir and Banyuasin.
South Sumatra Disaster Mitigation Agency (BPBD) Forest and Land Fire Post Head Ansori said that the agency has deployed helicopters to extinguish the fires since yesterday (October 4). Meanwhile, Sri Mulyono Herlambang Air Base Forest and Land Fire Task Force Commander Colonel Heri Sutrisno said that as many as five waterbombing helicopters were conducting operation to put out the fires.
