Demand for Indonesian palm oil derivative products in the Russian market continues to increase. In 2017, Russia’s palm oil consumption reached 650,000 tonnes, and 80% of the figure came from Indonesia. Russian Fat and Oils Foods Producers and Consumers Association Executive Director Ekaterina A. Esterova said that the Russian government and entrepreneurs hope that Indonesia can establish a palm oil trade representative office in Russia to strengthen their bilateral communications with regard to the palm oil trade.
