The United State International Trade Commission (USITC) has decided on April 9, 2018, to impose antidumping duty and countervailing duty on Indonesia’s biodiesel. Indonesia’s biodiesel is imposed with import duty ranging from 126.97% to 341.38%. Trade Ministry International Trade Director General Pradnyawati said that the decision has greatly severed Indonesia’s biodiesel export to US. There is no biodiesel export to US at the moment, she told “KONTAN” on Monday (April 24). She said that Indonesian biodiesel companies have filed complaints to the US local court. Meanwhile, the Trade Ministry will also bring this matter to the WTO.
