RI gets UN’s support to tackle discrimination against palm oil

Investor Daily, 22 May 2018
Indonesia has received support from two UN organisations, the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) and the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), to tackle the European Union’s (EU) discrimination against palm oil. There has been a lot of distortion of facts on palm oil in Europe, Maritime Affairs Coordinating Minister Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan said during a work visit to Rome from May 14 to May 16. The first rule of the World Trade Organization is trade without discrimination. As part of its diplomacy strategy, Indonesia is trying to provide comprehensive data and facts on palm oil, he said.
