Replanting technicalities evaluated

Kompas, 23 August 2018

The government held a coordination meeting on Tuesday (21 August) to evaluate oil palm plantation replanting technicalities, as the realized replanting efforts are still far from the target. Indonesian Oil Palm Farmers (Apkasindo) Chairman Amin Nugroho had said previously that the legality of plantation lands was still a problem. He estimated that only 11,000 out of 20,000 farmers’ plantations meet the legal aspects, such as having an identity card (KTP) and land certificate, among other things.
