The Finance Ministry issued Finance Ministerial Regulation (PMK) No. 152/PMK.05/2018 which revises PMK No. 82/PMK.05/2018 on Indonesian Oil Palm Estate Fund’s (BPDPKS) Service Fee. Economic Affairs Coordinating Minister Darmin Nasution said that the regulation was signed and issued by Finance Minister Sri Mulyani on December 4.
According to the regulation, the government will not collect levies from palm oil exporters when the prices are below $570 per metric ton, but will charge $25 per metric ton once the prices are in the range of $570-$619 per metric ton. The levy will rise to $50 when the prices are above $619 per metric ton. Economic Affairs Coordinating Minister Darmin Nasution said that the details were different from those announced previously because of the higher crude palm oil prices in CIF Rotterdam.
