Reduce tax to boost export

Kompas, 15 September 2018

Indonesian Palm Oil Association (GAPKI) Deputy Chair Togar Sitanggang on Friday (14 September) asked the government to reduce the export tax of palm oil commodities. He said that this measure is needed to boost the country’s export and foreign exchange, especially when the export of Indonesia’s palm oil derivative products is currently showing a positive trend. GAPKI Chair Joko Supriyono echoed the same sentiment. Joko believed that tax leniency would be able to boost Indonesia’s palm oil export to several big markets, including the Indian market.
