Indonesian palm oil business players express objection towards the European Union’s plan to remove palm oil from its vegetable fuel list. They refused to participate in discussions on Indirect Land Usage Change (ILUC) concept initiated by the European Union. Indonesian Palm Oil Board (DMSI) Chair Derom Bangun on Wednesday (February 6) said Indonesia and Malaysia will not accept ILUC parameters. He said the board will file an objection letter to the World Trade Organization (WTO) if the EU issues the Renewable Energy Directive (RED) II.
