Palm oil export predicted to decline 5%

Investor Daily, 6 August 2018

The Indonesian Palm Oil Producers Association (GAPKI) predicted that the national palm oil export will reach only 30.57 million tonnes by the end of this year, 5% lower than last year’s 32.18 million tonnes. GAPKI Executive Director Mukti Sardjono attributed the decline to the ongoing US-China trade war, as well as trade barriers imposed by several export destinations, such as the European Union and India.
