Palm oil export in H1 2018 declined 2% compared to the same period last year. According to the data from the Indonesian Palm Oil Association (GAPKI), Indonesia’s palm oil export, including biodiesel and oleochemical, was recorded at 15.3 million tonnes in H1 2018, a drop compared to 15.62 million tonnes in H1 2017. The sluggish export was exacerbated by higher palm oil production in H1 2018 that reached 22.32 million tonnes, a 23% increase from the same period last year, GAPKI Executive Director Mukti Sardjono said in a press release on Friday (July 27).
