North Sumatra-Aceh national road repaired

Kompas, 30 May 2018

The national road that connects the Pakpak Bharat Regency in North Sumatra and Subulussalam in Aceh is already repaired, despite not fully, following the road collapse last weekend. Only small vehicles can pass the road alternately, while the total repair is predicted to complete in the next two months. Due to the collapse, the transport of CPO from the west coast of Aceh to Belawan port was hampered. An emergency bridge has been constructed, but it could only hold up to 20 tons of weight. National Road Implementing Agency I Medan Area Head Paul Hamonangan Siahaan said that big trucks carrying CPO could use the alternative road through Manduamas, Tapanuli Tengah, or Banda Aceh.
