Bisnis Indonesia, 20 December 2018

The Agriculture Ministry estimated only less than 20% of 185,000 hectares of smallholders’ oil palm plantations would’ve been replanted this year. Agriculture Ministry Plantation Director General Bambang on the sidelines of a coordination meeting with Economic Affairs Coordinating Ministry on Tuesday (December 18) said only 33,671 hectares of smallholders’ plantation or 18.2% of the replanting target had been replanted as of December 14. However, the ministry is currently processing technical recommendations for 28,676 hectares of smallholders’ plantations.
