The Agriculture Ministry estimated only less than 20% of 185,000 hectares of smallholders’ oil palm plantations would’ve been replanted this year. Agriculture Ministry Plantation Director General Bambang on the sidelines of a coordination meeting with Economic Affairs Coordinating Ministry on Tuesday (December 18) said only 33,671 hectares of smallholders’ plantation or 18.2% of the replanting target had been replanted as of December 14.
