Bisnis Indonesia, 15 February 2019
Environment and Forestry Ministry (KLHK) Social Forestry and Environmental Partnership Director General Bambang Supriyanto told “Bisnis” on Thursday (February 14) that KLHK expects the regulation on social forestry in peatland area to be finished at the end of February. He said that as many as 239,000 hectares of peatlands are currently proposed to be transformed into social forestry. However, the directorate general is unable to issue any permit because the Government Regulation No. 57/2016 requires social forestry in peatland area to own peatland hydrological area (KHG) map.
