Investor Daily, 8 October 2018

Crude palm oil (CPO) production for September 2018 may reach the highest volume point this year. However, producers should worry about production decreases, which will begin in October. Indonesian Palm Oil Board (DMSI) Chair Derom Bangun said on Friday (October 5) during an activity at Puri Denpasar Hotel, Jakarta CPO production for September was expected to exceed 4.25 million metric tons due to the dry season. He explained that CPO production would slow down starting from October until the end of the year due to the wet season.

According Indonesian Palm Oil Producers Association (GAPKI) data, 4.06 million metric tons of CPO was produced in August 2018. GAPKI Executive Director Mukti Sardjono said the association would publish CPO production data for September at the end of this month.
