The National Disaster Management Agency has dispatched helicopters to extinguish fire raging on 25 hectares of land in Muara Medak village, Musi Banyuasin regency, South Sumatra. The move was an anticipatory measure to prevent haze from the forest fire from reaching Singapore.
Five helicopters were deployed to carry out water bombings. APP Sinar Mas sent two helicopters from Jambi to assist the operation.
