The government will expand the disbursement of biodiesel incentive to mining sector starting in June or July 2018, in an effort to increase biodiesel allocation to around 1.8 million kiloliters in May-October 2018 period. It also aims to increase total biodiesel consumption to 3.5 million kiloliters in 2018. Energy and Mineral Resources Ministry New and Renewable Energy and Energy Conservation Director General Rida Mulyana said that until now biodiesel incentive was only given to subsidised diesel, diesel power plants, and diesel trains. Meanwhile, the biodiesel need for the May-October 2018 period is supplied by 19 producers including SMART, which supplies 55,228 kiloliters of biodiesel.
