The island of Kalimantan is predicted to enter the peak of dry season in September and October 2018. Therefore, forest and land fire anticipation in Kalimantan has been intensified as El Nino is also predicted to hit the region. Integrated patrol was conducted by involving firefighting personnel from Manggala Agni, the Indonesian Armed Forces (TNI), the Indonesian Police (Polri), the Regional Disaster Mitigation Agency, and Masyarakat Peduli Api (MPA), Environment and Forestry Ministry Forest and Land Fire Control Director Raffles Panjaitan said yesterday (August 29).
