Some farmers at Tajau Pecah village, Batu Ampar district, Tanah Laut regency, South Kalimantan, have been integrating oil palm plantations and corn fields since three years ago, Tanah Laut Regent Sukamta during the great corn harvest on Monday (February 25) said. The integrated farm is expected to raise farmers’ welfare. Sukamta said similar integration is also being performed in Panyipatan and Bajuin districts. Farmers are also integrating oil palm plantations and cattle farm to raise their income, he said.
