The European Union is postponing the issuance of a delegated act that lists palm oil in high-risk category of the Indirect Land Usage Change (ILUC), which is included in the Renewable Energy Directive II (RED II) on vegetable fuel usage in the region. Council of Palm Oil Producing Countries (CPOPC) Executive Director Mahendra Siregar said on Monday (February 4) that the delegated act was supposed to be issued on February 1. He previously said that the council was ready to send an objection letter to the World Trade Organization (WTO) regarding the delegated act, which was deemed discriminative against crude palm oil.
