The Environment and Forestry Ministry (KLHK) is strengthening coordination with owners of plantations area near orangutan habitats following the death of an orangutan named Baen in Central Kalimantan. To prevent the incident from recurring, security and coordination, especially coordination between the KLHK Natural Resources and Ecosystem Conservation Directorate General, the KLHK Law Enforcement Directorate General, plantation owners, regional government, conservation activists, and the police are being increased, KLHK Forest Protection and Prevention Director General Sustyo Iriono said on Monday (July 8).
