Peatland Restoration Agency (BRG) Head Nazir Foead reminded forest and plantation concession holders to make use of the remaining days in rainy season to save water to keep peatlands wet ahead of the Asian Games 2018 in Palembang, South Sumatra. Nazir said that he will send letters to the Indonesian Forest Concession Holders Association (APHI) and the Indonesian Palm Oil Association to instruct them to check their water canals frequently and ensure that the canals are full of water.
