The Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement between Indonesia and the European Free Trade Association (EFTA) will strengthen Indonesia’s palm oil diplomacy to the European Union (EU). The Trade Ministry’s International Trade Negotiations Directorate General Bilateral Negotiations Director Ni Made Ayu Marthini in Geneva, Switzerland, on Sunday (November 25) said Indonesia’s crude palm oil (CPO) and its derivatives have met Switzerland’s standards. The EFTA’s approval of Indonesia’s palm oil is expected to improve palm oil’s image in other European Union countries, she said.
