Indonesian Food and Beverage Producers Association (Gapmmi) Chair Adhi S. Lukman argued that foods and beverages (F&B) sector needs different treatment to crude palm oil (CPO). The difference in treatment must be supported with detailed data so that every stakeholder can analyse the data to issue the most suitable policy for the development of F&B and CPO industries, he said on Monday (November 5).
Meanwhile, Statistics Indonesia Distribution Statistics Director Anggoro Dwitjahyono explained that according to Indonesian Standard of Industrial Classification (KBLI), CPO contributes 70% to the F&B sector. However, he recommended to separate F&B data from CPO data for better data collection.
