LMC International Chair and industry analyst James Fry said that crude palm oil (CPO) reserves might be decreasing until mid-year, which would raise its price, as cited from “Reuters” on Sunday (January 20). He predicted CPO price to rise by $50-$100 per metric ton. LMC International Southeast Asia Chair Julian McGill also estimated CPO price to rise to 2,200 ringgit-2,300 ringgit per metric ton in June amid seasonal supply decrease.
