The Indonesian Oil Palm Estate Fund (BPDPKS) had collected more than Rp14 trillion as of December 4, exceeding the initial target of Rp11 trillion this year. BPDPKS Director Herdrajat Natawijaya said on Thursday (December 13) that the association had temporarily stopped collecting levy since the government issued the Finance Ministerial Regulation No. 152/2018 on Service Fee of Indonesian Oil Palm Estate Fund.
Herdrajat explained that BPDPKS collected a large sum of levy in H2 2018 despite low crude palm oil (CPO) price, because Indonesia saw an increase in CPO export volume. He expected BPDPKS to be able to collect Rp14 trillion next year.
