Palm oil export in Q1 018 was down 2% compared to the same period last year. The drop was caused by the impact of trade barriers raised by the European Union and the import duty raise in India. Indonesian Palm Oil Association (GAPKI) Executive Director Danang Girindrawardana said that the palm oil export, including biodiesel and oleochemical, only reached 7.84 million tonnes, down from 8.02 million tonnes last year. The CPO export alone declined 3% to 7.5 million tonnes in Q1 2018 compared to 7.73 million tonnes last year, he said.
