Biofuel producers resume EU exports

The Jakarta Post, 4 June 2018

Indonesian biofuel producers have commenced exports to the European Union after the World Trade Organization (WTO) ruled in favor of Indonesia in regard to antidumping duties imposed on its biodiesel exports to the bloc. The Indonesian Biofuel Producers Association (Aprobi) estimated that biodiesel exports to the EU could reach 500,000 kiloliters in 2018. Because Indonesia has only just started exporting biodiesel to the EU, the association estimates that exports to the EU could reach 500,000 at most, Aprobi Chairman Paulus Tjakrawan said recently as reported by “Kontan.co.id.” He said that exports to the bloc in the first half of the year were almost zero, as producers were just beginning activities in the EU.
