Indonesian Biofuel Producers Association (Aprobi) Chair M. P. Tumanggor on Wednesday (November 14) asked the government to make clear of its plan on renewable energy development, especially the utilization of biofuel as fossil fuel replacement. He said that national crude palm oil (CPO) production could reach 60 million metric tons in the next five years, which could be utilized as biofuel. Aprobi estimated 6.2 million kiloliters fatty acid methyl ether (FAME) to be used as biodiesel blend. Tumanggor also said the government was interested in establishing CPO-fueled power plants.
