The Indonesian Biofuel Producers Association (APROBI) is currently pursuing its production target of 400,000 kilolitres-500,000 kilolitres by this month. The target was set after the government implemented the mandatory use of 20% blended biodiesel (B20) for non-Public Service Obligation (non-PSO) vehicles on 1 September 2018. APROBI Chair Paulus Tjakrawan was confident that APROBI members would be able to meet the target. In addition, the government’s new policy on the B20 utilization has reportedly created a positive sentiment for crude palm oil (CPO) price in the global market. The current average CPO prices hover at $560-$610 per tonne, a slight increase from $587.4 per tonne in July.
