Economic Affairs Coordinating Minister Darmin Nasution said that the mandatory B20 fuel policy, which will take effect next month, will not be able to improve Indonesia’s trade balance in short term. The policy will only be able to create an impact in 2019 at the soonest. Meanwhile, Energy and Mineral Resources Ministry New and Renewable Energy and Energy Conservation Director General Rida Mulyana said that the policy can reduce the country’s fuel import by 6.2 million kilolitres in 2019.
