GAPKI files complaint to Iceland

Indonesian palm oil companies should respond to UK supermarket Iceland that will stop selling products that use palm-oil derived ingredients by the end of 2018, Trade Ministry Foreign Trade Director General Oke Nurwan told “Kontan” on Tuesday (April 17). Indonesian Palm Oil Association (GAPKI) Chair Joko Supriyono said that the organization has filed a complaint to Iceland through Council of Palm Oil Producer Countries (CPOPC). Joko continued that Indonesian palm companies have earned international certifications that recognise their no deforestation practice.
